Uncontrollable Inflation: Prices of Daily Items Soar in Pakistan

Karachi: The prices of everyday items have skyrocketed, and even in budget-friendly markets, the cost of everything has started to reach sky-high. Prices of onions, tomatoes, and peas have seen a significant increase.

According to media reports, in budget-friendly markets, the price of onions is Rs. 250, and tomatoes are Rs. 150, and peas are above Rs. 400. Additionally, lentils are priced at Rs. 500, everyday-use rice at Rs. 320, and white chickpeas at Rs. 300 per kilogram.

Residents expressed that due to this inflation, it has become difficult to afford cooking at home. They criticized the government, stating that instead of providing relief to the public, the government is only focused on managing its own salaries.

They demanded that the government take practical steps to reduce the prices of all daily items and provide facilities to the public. Due to inflation, people are even afraid of affording a basic meal now.
