Islamabad: Due to a decline in global oil prices, there is a possibility of a significant reduction in petroleum prices in Pakistan starting from December 16.
According to details, there is expected to be a reduction of $5.49 per barrel in the price of petrol in the global market. Following this, there is a possibility of a reduction of up to Rs. 13 per liter in the price of petrol and Rs. 15 per liter in the price of diesel in the country from December 16.
After a slight decline in global petroleum product prices, citizens are demanding further relief.
It is important to note that the current petrol price in the country is Rs. 281.34 per liter, while diesel is priced at Rs. 289.79 per liter.
It should be noted that the government will make the final decision on the possible new prices of petroleum products on December 15, and it will take effect from December 16.
It is worth mentioning that a prediction of a reduction in petroleum prices was also made on the 1st of December, but despite a decrease in global market prices, the government did not provide relief to the public.
