Lahore: Fast bowler Naseem Shah of the national cricket team will receive over 45 million rupees from Islamabad United in the upcoming 9th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Naseem Shah, who was part of Quetta Gladiators in the last season, had attracted interest from several franchises considering his great bowling skills and worldwide fan following, but Islamabad United succeeded in securing a deal to acquire the fast bowler in their team.
Sources revealed that fast bowler Naseem Shah will receive approximately 45 Million Rupees.
In a swap deal, Naseem Shah moved from Quetta Gladiators to Islamabad United in exchange for fast bowler Mohammad Wasim Jr. and leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed.
The announcement of player retention for PSL will be made on December 7, but decisions on the budget and salary cap are yet to be finalized. Taking into account the franchise category, they can retain 8 players. Last year, the salary cap was set at 130,000 dollars per team.
