Gaza: In the ongoing barbaric bombardment by Israel on Gaza, the renowned Palestinian scientist and the head of the Islamic University in Gaza, Sufyan Tayeh, along with his family, was martyred.
According to media reports, the Ministry of Higher Education in Gaza has confirmed that in the Israeli airstrike in the Al-Faluja area in Jabalia in the northeastern Gaza Strip, scientist Sufyan Tayeh, along with his family, has been martyred. The Israeli forces targeted and destroyed the residential project in Ahmad City in Qatar.
Born in 1971 in Gaza, Sufian Tayyib was the head of the Islamic University in Gaza and a prominent researcher. Sufyan Tayeh was classified as the top 2% of researchers in the world, doing research in applied mathematics and physics. He was actively involved in various programs to enhance education in Gaza.
According to reports, Israel bombed several houses in Nuseirat camp killing 13 children and women. Additionally, bombardment in Jabalia Camp, Shuja’iyya, and Khan Yunis has resulted in the martyrdom of 250 Palestinians.
