Gaza: Hamas has refused negotiations for the release of more prisoners without a ceasefire.
Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan stated that negotiations for the release of more prisoners can only happen with a ceasefire. He emphasized that negotiations with Israel should resume under the condition of a ceasefire.
According to Arab media reports, Osama Hamdan, during a conversation with journalists in Beirut, said that they believe discussions on the exchange of prisoners with Israel can only take place in conjunction with the agendas of ceasefire and the end of Israeli hostilities.
He mentioned that the matter of negotiations on prisoner exchanges cannot be brought up without discussing a ceasefire and the end of Israeli hostilities. In response to a question, he stated that the trilateral agreement between Qatar, Egypt, and the United States on the ceasefire has ended due to Israeli opposition.
