Lahore: The drafting of players for PSL 9 will take place on December 13.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the drafting of players for the 9th edition of the Pakistan Super League will be held at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore on the 13th of December, and the pick order has already been finalized.
The draft’s pick order was confirmed earlier this month, and Quetta Gladiators will kick off the proceedings with the first pick. The selection order for the Platinum category’s first round was determined based on the inverse order of the previous season’s standings.
The renewal process for local player categories in the upcoming ninth edition was finalized on 10th November, with upgrades for nine players. The registration window for foreign players, open since 25th October, has garnered interest from top players worldwide.
Currently, the trade and retention window is open. In a recent move, as a result of the trade between Karachi Kings and Islamabad United on Wednesday, Hasan Ali has joined Karachi Kings from Islamabad United, while Imad Wasim has joined Islamabad United.
Moreover, following the deal between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators, Iftikhar Ahmed secured the first Platinum pick for Multan Sultans. In exchange, Quetta Gladiators received the South African batsman Riley Rossouw.
It is worth mentioning that the initial dates for PSL 9 have been set from February 8 to March 24.
