Hamas Releases 24 Israeli Hostages, 39 Palestinians Freed from Israeli Prisons

Occupied Jerusalem: Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has released 24 Israeli hostages, in turn 39 Palestinians have been freed who were held in Israeli prisons.

According to international news agencies, the temporary truce agreement between Hamas and Israel has resulted in the implementation of the first phase of the prisoner exchange. The 4-day temporary truce began on Friday at 7 AM and will continue until Tuesday at 7 AM.

According to the spokesperson of the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obaida, among the released 24 hostages, there are 10 from Thailand and one from the Philippines, while 13 are Israeli hostages. According to Arab media, individuals released by Hamas were handed over to the Red Cross and then transported to Egypt through the Rafah border crossing.

On the other hand, Israeli sources have confirmed the release of the captured hostages by Hamas and stated that the individuals released will be transported to Schneider Hospital by helicopter.

Meanwhile, the Zionist occupying forces have also released 39 Palestinian prisoners, including women and children. Palestinian prisoners were transferred from various Israeli prisons to Ofer Prison, from where 24 Palestinian women and 15 children were released by Israeli authorities, handed over to the Red Cross.

The released Palestinian prisoners belong to the occupied Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank. The spokesperson of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed Israel’s release of 39 Palestinian women and children.
