Islamabad: Smuggled Phones Worth Over 50 Million Seized

Islamabad: In a major operation in the federal capital, smuggled mobile phones worth more than 50 million rupees have been seized.

According to news agencies, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Customs Department, during an anti-smuggling operation, recovered approximately 5,000 smuggled mobile phones, with an estimated value of more than 50 million rupees.

Authorities revealed that the covert operation was conducted at Golra Mor, and during this operation, the smuggled mobile phones were seized. Following the arrest of two individuals in the operation, cases have been filed, and after obtaining a 5-day physical remand from the special judge, investigations related to smuggling are underway.
