Riyadh: Saudi Arabia secured a victory against Pakistan in the FIFA World Cup Qualifier, winning 4-0 in the second round of the World Cup’s qualifying round.
According to official sources, in the Group H match at Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium, Saudi Arabia defeated Pakistan 4-0. During the first half, Saudi Arabia had a 1-0 lead with a goal scored by Saleh Al-Shehri in the sixth minute.
Pakistan displayed a strong performance in the first half but failed to score, and in the second half, their offensive efforts were not successful. In the 48th minute, Saudi Arabia was awarded a penalty, leading to another goal.
Later, in extra time, Saudi Arabia scored a third goal. Abdulrahman Ghareeb scored in the 91st minute, followed by another goal from Abdullah Radif in the 96th minute, securing Saudi Arabia’s victory with a 4-0 lead.
It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia is ranked 57th in the FIFA World Rankings. In Group G of Round 2, besides Saudi Arabia, Pakistan is joined by Jordan and Tajikistan. This marks Pakistan’s first-ever qualification to the FIFA World Cup Qualifier Round 2 in history. The national team’s foreign coach, Stephen Constantine, expressed confidence in the players’ performance for future matches.
