Lahore: During the last 24 hours, 223 new Dengue cases were confirmed across the province. According to Ali Jan Khan, the Secretary of Primary and Secondary Health Care Punjab, a total of 12,488 confirmed Dengue patients have been reported in the province so far this year.
According to the figures provided by the Secretary of Primary and Secondary Health Care Punjab, Lahore reported 106 new cases of Dengue yesterday, bringing the total confirmed cases of Dengue in Lahore this year to 5,518.
18 new cases have been reported in Rawalpindi, Multan 37, Gujranwala 28, Faisalabad 20, Sheikhupura 8, Sargodha 3, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot 2 each, and Kasur, Sahiwal, Sialkot, Chakwal, Gujrat, Rahim Yar Khan, Vehari, Jhang, Pakpattan, and Rajanpur each reported one new dengue patient.
As per the Health Secretary, a total of 173 dengue patients are currently under treatment in hospitals across Punjab.
Patients coming to hospitals have expressed concern that despite the continuous increase in Dengue cases, no significant measures have been taken in hospitals regarding Dengue treatment, and facilities for Dengue tests are also lacking.
