Islamabad: During the past week, there has been a 0.73% increase in the inflation rate nationwide, while the annual inflation rate has remained at 29.86%.
According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics’ weekly report, the prices of 20 essential items increased during the recent week, while the prices of 8 items decreased, and prices of 23 items remained stable.
The price per kilogram of tomatoes increased by more than 25 rupees, potatoes by 4 rupees, garlic by 11 rupees, a 20-kilogram bag of flour price increased by 54 rupees, alive chicken’s price per kilogram by 6 rupees, eggs per dozen by 3, and lentils became more expensive by 1.90 rupees per kilogram. The price per kilogram of sugar saw an increase of 57 paise.
