Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has announced 700 fully funded scholarships for Pakistani students, enabling them to pursue education in the top 25 universities in the Kingdom.
According to a notification from the Saudi Embassy, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will provide 700 fully funded scholarships for Pakistani students to study diploma, bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. programs in the country’s 25 universities.
According to the APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), the embassy’s statement mentioned, “Previously the number of scholarships was 600, which has now been increased to 700.”
Both Pakistani students currently residing in Pakistan and those legally residing in Saudi Arabia can apply for these scholarships through the online portal: https://studyinsaudi.moe.gov.sa/.
Last year, Saudi Arabia offered 600 fully funded scholarships to Pakistani students. The program included tuition fees, a monthly stipend, accommodation facilities, return airfare, a three-month furnishing allowance for married students, medical coverage, and a monthly stipend ranging from 850 to 900 Saudi Riyals.
In October, the University of Wollongong (UOW) in Australia extended its prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Leadership Scholarship to Pakistan. The Pakistani High Commission had stated that this was the first time an Australian university had made such an offer for Pakistani students.
