Islamabad: The federal government has declared a public holiday across the country on November 9 in commemoration of Iqbal Day.
The federal cabinet has approved the public holiday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the philosopher of the East. In this regard, a government notification for a gazetted holiday has also been issued.
Iqbal Day, which marks the 147th birth anniversary of the Sage of the East, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, will be celebrated with enthusiasm and fervor on November 9. In connection with this occasion, various seminars and programs are scheduled across the country to raise awareness about Allama Iqbal, especially among children.
