London: The UK Islamic Mission held its 48th annual convention in Oldham, Manchester. The event featured addresses by both British and American Muslim scholars and had over 1400 participants from various cities in the UK.
The convention commenced with the recitation of the Quran. UK Islamic Mission’s President, Hammad Lodhi, expressed gratitude to the incoming guests and participants, emphasizing that UKIM manages charity and youth development programs, including study circles, in the UK and other countries.
Around 1400 men, women, and children attended the event from various cities in the UK. Separate sessions for women and children were also organized, where American scholars Ameena Blake and Dr. Mahera Ruby discussed ways to enhance charity and other matters in Europe and the UK.
Renowned American Islamic scholar Imam Siraj Wahhaj addressed the participants, highlighting how residents of societies like Europe, America, and the UK can impact others positively through their character and conduct.
At the convention, motivational speaker Qari Jahangir delivered a lecture on the father-child relationship, offering insights on how parents can better raise their children and maintain stronger relationships with them while living in the UK.
Other speakers at the event included Mihkaeel Mala, Leasha Prime, Hany El-Banna, Abid Salik, Madeeha Khan, Saadiyah Ahmed, Samak Mirza, and Jawad Nadwi. The convention concluded with the distribution of commemorative shields to the guests on behalf of UK Islamic Mission.
