Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, emphasized that education is not an option but a necessity, and it is incumbent upon students to seek solutions to national issues.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) division of the Pakistan Army, General Asim Munir participated in the annual convention of the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). The convention took place at the university’s main campus, with General Asim Munir, who is also the Chairman of the NUST Board of Governors, attending as a special guest.
As per ISPR, General Asim Munir recognized and honored high-achieving students for their outstanding contributions. He also extended heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, parents, and faculty. During the convocation ceremony, degrees were conferred upon undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. students. A total of 3,500 NUST students received degrees across seven different disciplines.
Speaking at the convention, General Asim Munir stated that today marks the beginning of a new chapter in the students’ lives. He stressed that education is not merely an option but an essential requirement and encouraged students to apply intellectual means to address challenges. He further emphasized that it is the responsibility of students to actively seek solutions to the nation’s issues.
