According to the findings of an international research study, it has been revealed that lung cancer is predominantly found in women, and the number of affected men is lower. Scientists are perplexed about why, despite avoiding cigarette smoking, women are more susceptible to this disease.
Following this recent research, medical professionals and scientists have begun their quest to answer why women are more prone to lung cancer compared to men during youth or middle age. It’s worth noting that lung cancer in women is causing more fatalities than breast and cervical cancers.
Medical experts point out that most women lose their lives because of breast cancer but due to lung cancer. The research estimates that in the United States alone, the number of women who die due to lung cancer is nearly 164 daily. This means that approximately 164 women in the United States are facing death due to lung cancer every day.
