Lahore: Pakistan cricket team’s captain, Babar Azam, has broken another record previously held by India’s Virat Kohli.
Babar Azam has become the fastest player to reach 2,000 runs as a captain, achieving this milestone in just 31 innings. Prior to this, Virat Kohli had completed 2,000 runs as a captain in 36 innings.
Babar Azam achieved this feat during the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup in a match against Bangladesh in Lahore.
South Africa’s AB de Villiers took 41 innings, Australia’s Michael Clarke took 47, while India’s Dhoni and England’s Eoin Morgan both achieved this milestone in 48 innings.
