Lahore: The Anti-Terrorism Court has issued arrest warrants for 268 absconded workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) allegedly involved in the Jinnah House attack case.
Lahore Police had submitted a request to the Anti-Terrorism Court to issue non-bailable arrest warrants for 268 fugitive workers of PTI implicated in the Jinnah House attack case. The Special Court for Anti-Terrorism accepted the police’s request.
Special Judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court, Ejaz Ahmed Buttar, issued a written 10 pages long verdict, ordering the issuance of arrest warrants for 268 workers of PTI in connection with the Jinnah House attack case.
The verdict stated that in light of statements from apprehended suspects in the Jinnah House attack case, an additional 268 suspects were identified. These suspects are believed to be workers and are attempting to evade arrest.
The verdict mentioned that according to the police, there is evidence against the suspects. The request for issuing non-bailable arrest warrants by the police has been accepted.
