Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says the incident of 9th May was a conspiracy against the army chief, the Pak army, and the state. If the conspiracy had succeeded, the situation would have been unimaginable. Thankfully we dodged the conspiracy, the PTI chairman had prepared this armor.
Addressing the farewell cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister said that the caretaker government will serve the people with complete honesty. Ours was the shortest government in history, which remained in power for 16 months. We are thankful to Allah Almighty as the term is completed.
He said that the government had to face the challenge of the flood as the first task, and as Pakistanis, it distributed billions of rupees transparently to the flood-affected people without differentiating between any provinces of Pakistan. Aid from friendly countries was distributed with justice and 75 billion rupees were allocated for the Benazir Income Support Program, he added.
He said that inflation is a storm that cannot be controlled. It has many causes. The floods wreaked havoc across the country. The Pakistan Army played an exemplary role in dealing with the devastation caused by the floods.
