Peshawar: While addressing the Grand Jirga in Peshawar the chief of army staff Asim Munir said that with the resolve of the nation, we are successfully countering terrorism and for economic and social progress, the firm establishment of peace and stability is being ensured.
The Chief of the Pakistan Army stated that Pakistan Army, security agencies, and the Pakistani people are united and those seeking to disrupt peace do not belong among us.
Moreover, he said that after the state of Medina, Pakistan is the second state founded upon the Kalima. No worldly power can affect Pakistan in any way. Islam is a religion of peace and those who have used this religion to spread terrorism will have to answer for their actions.
COAS Asim Munir further stated that the Pakistani military is the army of martyrs, and its slogan is: faith, piety, and jihad in the way of Allah.
