Sri Lanka struggled in their first innings, managing only 166 runs, putting them in a precarious position. In reply, Pakistan’s batting lineup displayed remarkable prowess, amassing an impressive total of 576 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. The star of the innings was Abdullah Shafique, who notched a magnificent double century, while Agha Salman, later named the Man of the Match, contributed a rapid 132 not out.

Pakistan’s strong lead of 410 runs left very little chance of Sri Lanka making a comeback. On Day 4 of the enthralling match, Pakistan showcased its dominance once again, led by the outstanding performance of left-arm spinner Noman, who claimed 7 wickets, and Sri Lanka was bowled out for another low total of 188.
