Khanewal: General Syed Asim Munir, the Army Chief, has stated that a decision has been made to lead Pakistan out of the current crisis.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony of the Model Agricultural Farm, the Army Chief said that all Pakistanis have to collectively throw away the beggar’s bowl. No external force can impede our progress. The agricultural revolution in Pakistan will continue.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief expressed pride in serving the nation. The army belongs to the people, and the people belong to the army. We have decided to overcome Pakistan’s current crisis. Pakistan is a nation of pride, dignity, and talent, he added.
He further remarked that all Pakistanis will have to collectively get rid of the beggar’s bowl. Allah has blessed Pakistan with abundant resources. No worldly power can hinder our progress. Pakistan will continue its agricultural revolution, by the grace of Allah.
General Syed Asim Munir announced that more farms like the Model farm will be established, benefiting small-scale farmers, and the ambit of Green Initiatives will be expanded throughout Pakistan.
He compared the relationship between the state and its people to that of a mother and her child, based on love and respect. Security and economy are inseparable, and without security, the economy cannot flourish.
Addressing the attendees of the ceremony, the Army Chief emphasized the importance of Allama Iqbal’s poetry in every individual’s contribution to the nation’s progress, reciting the following verses:
“In the hands of individuals lie the destinies of nations,
Each individual is the star of the nation’s destiny.”
