50% Increase in Prices of Sugar-Based Products

Badin: The price of sugar has witnessed an increase of Rs. 50 per kilogram during the past forty days. Following this price hike in sugar, there has been a 50% increase in the prices of goods made from sugar. The sudden rise in sugar prices has caused mental distress among the public.

According to details, in Lower Sindh, within forty days, the price of sugar suddenly increased by Rs. 40 per kilogram. The sugar that was being sold at Rs. 90 per kilogram is now being sold at Rs. 140 per kilogram. The sudden increase in sugar prices has resulted in severe distress for millions of people, making them mentally troubled.

In this series, citizens who purchase sugar have revealed that a period of darkness and hoarding is prevalent here. Profiteers are openly looting both the traders and the public. The local administration of the government has completely failed to control the rising inflation on a daily basis.

They have appealed to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, and the session judge to take suo motu notice of the increasing inflation and take strict legal action against the profiteers involved in black marketing, in order to save the lives of millions of citizens.
