Brazil: Brazilian football star Neymar Jr. has been fined $3.3 million for unauthorized lake construction in his mansion near Rio de Janeiro. The Council Secretariat stated that environmental violations were committed in the construction of an artificial lake in the player’s residence. Mangaratiba, a popular tourist destination, is located 130 kilometers (80 miles) away from the city of Rio.
The construction work was halted in recent days, and Neymar’s father, De Silva Santos, not only obstructed the authorities but also behaved rudely, leading to his arrest and subsequent release on bail.
On the other hand, the captain of the Brazilian football team, Neymar Jr., has 20 days to appeal against the fine. According to Brazilian media, Neymar hosted a party in his mansion, and despite the regulations, he bathed in the lake. However, Neymar’s press office has denied commenting on the news.
