Dubai: Inauguration of the World’s Largest Waste-to-Energy Plant

Dubai: The inauguration of the world’s largest waste-to-energy plant was held in Dubai.

The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, inaugurated the first phase of the world’s largest waste-to-energy plant with an investment of 4 Billion UAE dirhams.

Sheikh Hamdan stated that the project has the capacity to produce 220 megawatts of electricity within an hour. He emphasized that renewable energy can provide electricity to 135,000 residential units while processing 2 million tons of waste annually without any negative environmental impact.
