Govt making efforts to observe Ramadan in Pakistan on same day

ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Religion Affairs & Inter-Faith Harmony is making all the possible efforts to have a consensus on the beginning of the holy month Ramadan 2017 across the country.

A delegation of the government, in this regard, will hold consultation with Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai in order to ensure the commencement of Ramadan on the same day in the country.

Both parties will exchange views to observe the holy month of Ramadan on the same day during the meeting.

Sources claimed that Mufti Shahabuddin Poplazai left without meeting the government delegation.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will hold the meeting on May 26, while Mufti Shahabuddin Poplazai will also hold the meeting on the same day at Masjid Qasim Ali Khan.
