KARACHI: Excise, Taxation and Narcotics directorate of Sindh has issues notification for immediate closer of all liquor shops and cancellation of liquor licenses on the directives of Sindh High Court, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
According to TheNewsTribe correspondent notification issued by Karim Dad Abbasi, Deputy Director of Excise, Taxation and Narcotics department of Sindh.
“In compliance of the verbal directions of the honourable High Court of Sindh in CP # D-5750, 2919, 5097, 5226 of 2016 during hearing dated 27-10-2016, all liquor license (Trade, & import of Potable Liquor/Retail of Liquor) of Sindh are hereby closed/disconnected with immediate effect,” stated the notification.
Meanwhile in a directive concerned authority ordered all regional directors to ensure the closure of all wine shops in entire Sindh today without fail.
The department also advised to ensure the fulfillment of all legal formalities and possession of all legal documents/licenses before the closures of wine shops.
