Film Maalik may face ban again

KARACHI: The Pakistani movie Maalik, which was recently revoked by the Sindh High court, may face restrictions again, according to Samaa’s news report.

The decision to permit the screening of the movie has now been challenged in the Pakistan Supreme Court, citing the content as misleading and objectionable, the report stated.

The Law Ministry has pleaded the apex court that the ban on Maalik lifted by the Sindh High Court be declared null and void.

Sindh High Court had declared the ban as unlawful, allowing the movie to be run in the cinemas.
