MUMBAI: The singer-turned actor, the heartthrob Fawad Khan will become first Pakistani to host Bollywood’s biggest award show — The International Film Academy (IIFA) Awards.
IIFA’s official ticketing website Ticketea has confirmed that Fawad will be sharing the stage with his mentor Karan Johar in Madrid to host a special segment of IIFA Rocks 2016 on June 24.
The show is part of the IIFA Weekend and will showcase power-packed performances by Pritam, Meet Brothers, Parineeti Chopra, Kanika Kapoor, Benny Dayal among others, Tribune reported.
The event is scheduled to take place on June 25 where many Bollywood superstars including Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Paukone, Hrithik Roshan, Sonakshi Sinha and Tiger Shroff will perform.
The main event will be hosted by Farhan Akhtar and Shahid Kapoor.
