KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Stars XI vs Pakistan Showbiz XI charity match organaised by Shahid Afridi Faoundation (SAF) will be played at Asghar Ali Shah Cricket Stadium, Karachi on May 6, Friday (today).
The match is scheduled to begin at 18:30 local time.
Initial 16-man squad has been announced from both sides.
Shahid Afridi will lead Pakistan Cricket Stars XI, whereas Pakistan Showbiz Star will be under captaincy of Dr Junaid Ali Shah, the son of slain Dr. Mohammad Ali Shah.
Where likes of Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan, Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz and Sarfraz Ahmed representing Cricket Stars, TV anchor Waseem Badami, film star Humayon Saeed, Sahir Lodhi, Danish Taimoor and Mummar Rana will play from Showbiz XI.

SAF is in process to build hospital and schools within Pakistan and yet have initiated several other projects which are directly helping the needy people countrywide.
Up the latest, SAF has organized Fundraising & Awareness Event at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium Karachi. A charity match will be happening there in between Pakistan Cricket Stars XI and Pakistan Showbiz Stars XI.
Many stars of Pakistan’s entertainment industry also appreciated Afridi’s stand for the betterment of people.
Over all this, foreign cricketers also extended their support to Boom Boom over this bold initiative.
