iPhone 7: Apple rumored to drop Home button

NEW YORK- There are several rumors speculating in the market regarding the new features of the upcoming model iPhone, iPhone 7. It is rumored that Apple is going to drop Home button in its new model of phone.

Recently a leak has supported this rumor. This new leak has come from supply chain sources in China, and has also claimed that iPhone 7 will have a touch-sensitive button in place of the conventional home button.

Another Chinese website has conveyed that the virtual home button will have the same haptic feedback motors used in MacBook’s trackpad to design the illusion of a Home button.

This button has been featured on every single iPhone since 2007. Nevertheless Android smartphones have soft-touch software keys which are displayed as part of the operating system enabling the user go home from any app.

Another speculation imagines iPhone as made from a material known as ‘liquidmetal’ which is tougher and more water-resistant than typical aluminum.

In this concept, the iPhone would be a 3mm thick body made of glass and liquidmetal. But to maintain this thinness, this model will not contain lightning charging port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and obviously the physical home button.
