Google doodles Shakespeare’s 400th death anniversary

The search engine, Google has doodled the world famous British playwright marking Shakespeare’s 400th death anniversary.

Google has given tribute to the renowned writer by Google Doodle, which is internet’s equal of Hollywood star or a blue plaque.

Other companies have also joined the club and are remembering Shakespeare in their own style. Social networking website, Twitter is presenting its users with a chance to use a special writer emoji.

It is going to tweet out the complete works of Shakespeare in tiny 140 character bursts. In Shakespeare’s own home, the British library is going to release amazing ‘digital wallpaper’ chained with QR codes which would allow kids to download his most famous plays. This is managed by the collaboration of British Library with Vodafone.

Last Vodafone research revealed that youngsters are ignorant of legendary work accomplished by the man. Furthermore, a separate research revealed that young adults are more likely to recognize Justin Bieber’s lyrics than Shakespeare’s quotations.

It is pertinent to mention here that this doodle’s reach is only in United Kingdom.
