LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board might have decided to give ‘another chance’ to the other two spot fixing hit players Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt back in national cricket, as the duo has been named in 75 players draft for Pakistan Cup ODI tournament.
Both Mohmmad Asif and Salman Butt were asked to play domestic cricket for at least one year to prove form and fitness before they get their international return.
The spot fixing trio completed their five-year cricketing exile and were allowed by ICC to play international cricket, but PCB had not allowed Asif and Butt to return ti international cricket, while Amir was an exception there too.
This tournament might pave way for these two cricketers to international cricket.
The teams will be selected by the captain and the coach through a draft which will consist of 150 players.
Each team will be able to select a squad of 15.
The draft process was also adopted during the teams’ selection for the Pakistan Super League which was held earlier this year.
