ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau spokesperson has denied any official link or misuse of NAB resources at the Saloon incident in Karachi.
Talking to TheNewsTribe.com a NAB spokesperson stated that, “Deputy Director Osaf Mir Talpur was acting in personal capacity on his personal dispute and NAB has no official link with the matter.”
A National Accountability Bureau Deputy Director Osaf Mir Talpur was in a dispute with famous actress Shagufta Ijaz and her daughter over assault and harassment charges at their saloon.

“His wife was also assaulted at the saloon and he reached the saloon in his personal capacity when his wife was beaten, the matter was resolved at a police station following the incident,” added the spokesperson, “he just so happens to be a NAB officer and his wife called him during duty hours on a personal emergency. It is not a case of misuse of NAB resources or power.”
Haya Ali, daughter of Shagufta Ijaz also posted a statement on Facebook along with a video of Osaf Ali’s wife in her saloon. Osaf Ali’s wife Hina Khan claimed to have lost a chain at Envy Saloon which lead to this issue.
“It all started Tuesday around 1 pm when a client at my salon started to create an issue about a chain she had lost after she took it off to get her services done (and completely forgotten about It I may add) She claimed it was valuable and returned the next day to look for it. Okay so first she starts a fuss about why her calls weren’t answered at 11 pm last night. Whereas our closing time is 9pm. I politely told her that our phones whether mobile or landlines are only operated during business hours, just like every single other business in the world! ”
Speaking to The News Tribe representative Haya Ali stated that, “We did pursue the matter in a legal manner but were forced into a settlement by the Police.”
