PESHAWAR: The civil and military leadership of the country come together in the meeting of the Apex committee held at Corps Headquarter in Peshawar on Saturday.
The committee discussed the working upon the National Action Plan (NAP) and the security situation of the country in
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, Director General (DG) Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister (CM) Pervaiz Khattak, Corps Commander Peshawar and other officials attended the meeting.
Security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas was discussed in the meeting along with progress made regarding the Operation Zarb-e-Azb in areas of North Waziristan.
The quick return of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) belonging to North Waziristan was also brought up in the meeting.
