LAHORE: Pakistan talented wicket keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed is the strongest candidate for Twenty20 captaincy after Shahid Afridi’s quit.
Fact finding committee, which was formed to probe into Pakistan Cricket team’s dismal performance in Asia Cup and WT20 2016, will present report before Shahryar Khan.
Sources having a close eye on the matter, have told TheNewsTribe.com that Sarfraz Ahmed is the brightest name recommended by the committee for next T20 captaincy.
Sources have also suggested that Shoaib Malik was a strong candidate for captaincy, but Sarfraz has now gained sympathy of both Misbah and Younis Khan who are vital member of the committee.
On the other hand, Pakistan head coach Waqar Younis is also expected be released from his post, Mohsin Hasan Khan and Aqib Javed are the two major choices for the post.
