A notification requires you to check into Facebook safety check based on your geo location. Once you confirm your safety, Facebook posts a status on your behalf letting your friends and family know that you are safe.
Facebook also gives a short account of the incident that happened near you – in this case – Lahore Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park blast.
The new feature is available across the globe to keep families posted on their loved ones and friends.
