MOHALI: Pakistan premier fast bowler Mohammad Amir who made phenomenal comeback after spending five years in cricket exile under spot fixing scandal, has been under scrutiny again.
According to local media reports, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to open an inquiry against Amir’s poor performance in WT20 2016 after his outstanding performance in Asia Cup T20 and PSL.
Coach Waqar Younis, was also reportedly angry with Mohammad Amir’s underperformance in main WT20 games and bashed at him during team meeting.
“Are you only two game’s bowler?” referring to India and Bangladesh match in Asia Cup Wt20, Waqar taunted at Amir during meeting.
PCB has also made an inquiry committee to probe Pakistan teams poor performance in Asia Cup ad Wt20, the committee will also find out if the ‘Grouping; reports in the team were true.
The committee comprising, Younis Khan, Misbah ul Haq, Shakil Shaikh, and Intikhab Alam will present its report within two weeks, while head coach Waqar Younis and captain Shahid Afridi will too appear before the committee.
