PIA needs 22 billion in funds, 5 provided through bank security: Daar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaaq Daar revealed that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has requested Pakistan Government for 22 billion rupees funds for sustenance.

Government has provided 5 billion through bank security and the remaining funds would be provided to the national airlines by June.

Pakistan International Airline is going through the worst crisis of it’s history however public opinion has been against privatization of PIA. Pakistan Government has postponed the privatization decision until April 11.
