DELHI: Pakistan women cricket team beat Bangladesh women by 9 wickets in a crucial Group B game of ICC Women’s WT20 2016 at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delhi.
Bangladesh skipper Jahanara Alam chose to bat first after winning the toss.
Despite losing two early wickets, Bangladesh middle order kept scoring runs, and with the help of Fargana (36), Sharmni Akhter (19) and Lata Mandal’s quick 10, Bangladesh managed to post 113/9 in their first innings.
Anam Amin (12-2) and Sana (Mir 16-1) were the pick of the bowlers from Pakistan.
Pakistan were off to a flying start, and despite loosing Nahida khan early in the inning, Bisma Maroof (43*) and Sidra Amin (53*) played decisive role to bring Pakistan side home.
Pakistan chased down the target with 21 balls in hand.
Sidra Amin was chosen Woman of The Match for her 53 not out.
This is Pakistan’s 2nd win out of three matches they played, win againt Engladn will see them through in semi finals.
