KOLKATA: Pakistan former cricketer and World Cup winning captain Imran Khan has recommended to Pakistan team head coach Waqar Younis and skipper Shahid Afrid to send Umar Akmal in top the order.
According to details, legendary captain had a motivational session with Pakistan team ahead of big clash against arch rival India in which he spoke to the team and individuals regarding match plan.
He told players to keep self believe and play on their full potential to win this game.
“Team India, after New Zealand defeat will be under enormous pressure, and if you play in your full swing, you can easily win this game,” Imran spoke to the team.
After the session, former skipper talked to Afridi in hotel lobby for more than two minutes.
Swashbuckling middle order batsman Umar Akmal ran to him as he finished with Afridi, and asked for a few tips ahead of match. To which Imran Khan said, you should be batting in top order to extract maximum out of the game.
On Umar AKmal request, Imran Khan also talked to head Coach Waqar Younis and recommended Umar to be sent in top order for batting.
However, reports from Pakistan camp suggest that, they are in no mood to make changes on eleventh hour.
