Dr. Kongpop U-yen and Newsman Ben Davidson teamed up to bring us the ultimate “save me from apocalypse” application. Not too high on the branding this application is simply called “The Disaster prediction app” and it would take several different complex modules of earth quake radar systems to provide comprehensive and reliable predictions of large scale earth quakes.
U-yen – an electrical engineer – and Davidson – founder of Space Weather News – started working on a new module that would be more comprehensive than any of the existing models after 9/11. Their collaboration with Ohio State University and years of hard work has paid off in the form of a new module.
There, there; some of us can now sleep better with the possibility of an earthquake lurking underneath them this is now their companion for proactive defense.
LoPy will keep you connected
Communication technology has where provided thousands if not millions of benefits it also brought some drawbacks the biggest of them all; Connectivity. LoPy is an exceptionally talented innovation in an awfully surprising price. LoPy is a convergence platform that brings together three technologies to ensure your connectivity with your devices.

LIDAR comes to commons with Sweep
The simple yet exceptionally useful technological upgrade of the 60s is now getting an upgrade, this time in terms of its economic availability to common folks. LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) has come a long way from cloud measurement and is currently being used in security, education, transportation, drone industries among many other but now technology enthusiasts Kent Williams and Tyson Messori of Sanse are bringing this important invention to the commons at an affordable price, titled Sweep.
William and Messori are taking it one step further and providing two variation kits beside the simple kit currently in funding process; a customized water proof kit and circular kit to enable 3D printing of the scanned object is their next stop. Set to hit the market by November 2016 their first scanning module Sweep would come with a usb cable, operating software and usb adapter. Sweep is expected to bring a drastic drop in LIDAR prices from between US$1,000-US$8,000 to below US$1,000.
Imagine organizations using LIDAR for their educational initiatives not just in the developing countries but in the elite west as well. How about the drone operated security system for the vary and conscious?
3D headphones with personal calibration
3D in visualizations has been rendered obsolete but what can be sweeter than a 3D headphone that would calibrate itself to your ear’s unique specification. That’s just the beginning it would also use the head tracking technology ensure you that the sound and space balance is maintained while you enjoy your audio content. To seal the deal, a multi driver approach is adopted for enhanced projection of sound at different parts of your year.
