SHARJAH: Skipper of Islamabad United Misbah-ul-Haq and middle order batsman Asif Ali helped the team to grab third win in the ongoing sizzling tournament Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, UAE, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
Batting first Karachi Kings set the target of 129 runs for Islamabad United in the limited 20-over game. In reply Islamabad United chased the target in the 19th over with the lost of five wickets.
After this win, Islamabad United became third team to qualify for play off round of PSL after Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.
Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and elected to bowl first. United’s bowler put the batsmen of Karachi Kings on back foot and restricted the Karachi Kings t0 128 runs.
Imran Khan, who declared man of the match, took two wicket and gave just 19 runs in four overs. Islamabad United played the match without Shane Watson as he left for Australia due to injury.
Islamabad United chased the target in the 19th over. Misbah scored 38 runs and remain top scorer for his team. While, Asif Ali played the knock of 31 runs on a crucial time and finished the macth with monster six .
