SHARJAH: Courtesy to some bright stuff from Umar Akmal and Camreon Delport, Lahore Qalandars have posted a fighting total of 164/3 against Peshawar Zalmi in 15th encounter of Pakistan Super League.
After winning the toss, Zalmi skipper Shahid Afridi elected to field first, the decision proved perfect for him when left-arm wuikc Juniad Khan removed Gayle for naught in first over.
Qalandars’ skipper Azhar Ali and Delport rebuilt the innings with slower pace and the in the last part of the innings, Umar Akmal and Delport took charge on Zalmi as Azhar was removed for 25 in 9th over.
With Umar Akmal (54*) and Cameron Delport (78), Qalandars succeeded to post a total of 164/3 on the board, their, second best total of the league so far.
They together had put 100 runs partnership for the third wicket before Delport depart for 78 in last over.
