SHARJAH: Quetta Gladiators beat Islamabad United comfortably by 7 wickets in 11th encounter of Pakistan Super League.
When Sarfraz, Gladiators’ skipper sent United to bat firstafter winning the toss, it was quite a shocking decision for everybody as the pitch looked tailor-made for batting.
But, Quetta bowlers once again showed class and kept taking wickets at regular interval.
standing captain Shane Watson was the only prominent batsman from United, he scored 40 of 29 balls.
Islamabad United were rolled up for 117 in 19.1 overs.
Grant Elliot with 3 for 25 in his 4 and Aizaz Cheema 2 for 14 in 3 overs were pick of the bowlers.
Quetta Gladiators, though lost two early wickets, but skipper Sarfraz did not let his side down and played a heavenly innings under pressure and sailed Gladiators across the victory line.
He scored unbeaten 51 of 39 balls.
