PSL: 146 APS students fly for Dubai to enjoy T20 matches

PESHAWAR: Skipper of Pakistan Super League (PSL) team, Shahid Afridi fulfilled his promise as 146 students of terror attacked Army Public School have departed for Dubai along with teachers to enjoy Pakistan’s first T20 league on Thursday, TheNewsTribe.com reported.  

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, the students departed for Dubai from Bacha Khan Airport on a chartered plane of Shaheen Airlines due to ongoing protest of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees and will return country on February 8.

Student of APS will wear shirt of Peshawar Zalmi to wear Khpal team in opening edition of PSL. Afridi also distributed cricket accessories and Peshawar Zalmi’s kits among the students and took selfies with them.

PSL, the first ever international T20 league of Pakistan, is all set to begin in United Arab Emirates (UAE) from February 4 and will last till February 23.

The five teams in the event have been led by Misbah-ul-Haq, Shoaib Malik, Azhar Ali, Shahid Afridi and Sarfraz Ahmad respectively while international T20 stars Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara, Kevin Pietersen, Shane Watson and many others will also shine in the Pakistani league.
