LAHORE: The chances of star wicket keeping batsman Kamran Akmal’s inclusion in World Twenty20 and Asia Cup have increased due to his stunning performance in National one-day Cup.
The wicket keeper has not only won the title of highest scorer but has also taken National Bank team to the finals in the event.
According to sources, T20 captain Shahid Khan Afridi has also supported Kamran Akmal and urged the authorities to take him into consideration while deciding squad for WT20.
It is pertinent to mention here that the concerning department is thinking to replace Umar Akmal with him.
The 34-year-old player had played his last international T20 in 2014 and last ODI in 2013.
