Shahid Afridi visits APS Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Pakistani T20 skipper Shahid Afridi on Tuesday has visited Army public School Peshawar and announced that Peshawar Zalmi, One of the hot favorite franchises of Pakistan Super League PSL, will take 150 students from APS to UAE to support the event.

Addressing a press conference, Afridi said that he is starting Talent Hunt program from APS Peshawar and he will give his time to young cricketers for their betterment.

He slammed his hot favorite pair Ahmad Shahzad and Umar Akmal for their worst performance in NZ tour and said that if players like them would not perform well, who would come forward? they have no other other players, hence they can predict the future of Pakistani cricket from the performance of these players.

Boom Boom said he will retire after the World T20 which is due in India this March.

Shahid Afridi also said that he would speak to team management at players’ performance in New Zealand tour ahead of T20 World Cup.

On the occasion he also announced to start a Talent Hunt Campaign to recruit young cricketers for a cricket academy. The selected players will be given training and stadium facilities and they will be well equipped according to international standard.
