Blind protesters, police come face to face in Lahore

LAHORE: Clash between Punjab police and blind protesters occurred when protesters tried to block the Kalma Chowk, route of Metro Bus Service, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Protesters tried to block the Kalma chowk when police showed resistance. Few protesters got minor injuries during clash.

On Tuesday morning, blind persons again tried stop the Lahore metro bus services and sat on roads while any government officials did not reach there to negotiate with them so far.

Blind people’s spokesperson said that earlier Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah had made promises to fulfill our demands but all promises went in vain.

Disabled persons demanding their job rights, they are asking government to give 3 per cent quota in government jobs.
