ISLAMABAD: Former Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik has declined an offer by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to become his adviser, a post which is equivalent to the portfolio of a federal minister.

“Dr Abdul Malik has been offered three different posts. But he had turned down the Prime Minister’s offer,” National Party Chairman Hasil Bizenjo told SAMAA on Saturday.

“We are keeping a close eye on Sanaullah Zehri government in Balochistan,” he said.

Bizenjo said that National Party itself had requested the prime minister to ensure implementation of the Murree Accord, a power-sharing formula agreed with the ruling PML-N after the 2013 general elections.

“We met Prime Minister Sharif and made a request to enforce the Murree Agreement,” he added.
